Massimo Fiorito ha realizzato un diario fotografico nell’arco di 400 giorni, dal 9 aprile 2020 al 14 maggio 2021.

Il nucleo concettuale di questo lavoro artistico si basa su 400 fotografie, tutte legate a una panchina verde situata lungo l’Isar, sulla Wittelsbacherstraße di Monaco di Baviera. Le condizioni che regolano il progetto sono rigorose e minimali: ogni giorno, per oltre un anno, Fiorito attraversa lo stesso punto del parco e si sofferma di fronte alla stessa panchina.

Attraverso questo rituale quotidiano, l’artista costruisce #anotherdayonearth – the book - die Bank – the bench – la panchina, un diario visivo che interroga il senso della vita e dell’esistenza umana. Il progetto non si limita all’immagine: le fotografie sono accompagnate da testi — riflessioni, frammenti di pensiero e osservazioni nate durante le passeggiate lungo il fiume. Nella loro immediatezza e profondità, queste note conferiscono all’opera un tono intimo e filosofico.

Il motivo ricorrente della panchina di fronte al fiume che scorre lentamente si trasforma in un potente simbolo: il tempo che passa, la finitezza dell’esistenza, il desiderio di altrove. Con la consapevolezza che anche le acque dell’Isar, prima o poi, confluiranno nel Mar Nero.

Questo libro fotografico sarà stampato in una tiratura limitata, determinata esclusivamente dal numero di copie preordinate entro il 30 giugno 2025.

Il volume, composto da 260 pagine (copertina inclusa), sarà stampato in quadricromia su carta opaca da 130 grammi, nel formato A4 (21 × 29,7 cm). La copertina rigida cartonata sarà leggermente più grande rispetto al blocco interno, per una finitura elegante e resistente.

Ogni copia sarà numerata e firmata dall'autore e conterrà una stampa fotografica originale (formato circa 9 × 9 cm) inserita in un passepartout di cartoncino spesso 1,4 mm, formato 20 × 20 cm. Anche la stampa sarà firmata sul retro da Massimo Fiorito.

Ein Projekt von Massimo Fiorito

Massimo Fiorito führte über einen Zeitraum von 400 Tagen – vom 9. April 2020 bis zum 14. Mai 2021 – ein fotografisches Tagebuch.

Der konzeptuelle Kern dieser künstlerischen Arbeit basiert auf 400 Fotografien, die alle mit einer grünen Bank an der Isar, auf der Wittelsbacherstraße in München, verbunden sind. Die Regeln dieses Projekts sind streng und reduziert: Jeden Tag, über mehr als ein Jahr hinweg, geht Fiorito denselben Weg durch den Park und hält an derselben Bank inne.

Durch dieses tägliche Ritual entsteht #anotherdayonearth – the book – die Bank – the bench – la panchina, ein visuelles Tagebuch, das Fragen nach dem Sinn des Lebens und der menschlichen Existenz stellt. Das Projekt beschränkt sich nicht nur auf Bilder: Die Fotografien werden von Texten begleitet – Reflexionen, Gedankensplitter und Beobachtungen, die während seiner täglichen Spaziergänge am Fluss entstanden sind. In ihrer Spontaneität und Tiefe verleihen diese Notizen dem Werk eine intime und philosophische Dimension.

Das wiederkehrende Motiv der Bank vor dem langsam fließenden Fluss wird zu einem kraftvollen Symbol: für die Vergänglichkeit der Zeit, die Endlichkeit des Lebens und die Sehnsucht nach der Ferne – verbunden mit dem Wissen, dass auch das Wasser der Isar eines Tages ins Schwarze Meer münden wird.

Dieses Fotobuch wird in einer limitierten Auflage gedruckt, die ausschließlich von der Anzahl der bis zum 30. Juni 2025 vorbestellten Exemplare abhängt.

Der Band umfasst 260 Seiten (inklusive Umschlag) und wird im Vierfarbdruck auf 130g mattem Papier im Format A4 (21 × 29,7 cm) produziert. Der Hardcover-Einband ist etwas größer als der Innenteil und sorgt für eine elegante, hochwertige Ausführung.

Jedes Exemplar wird vom Autor nummeriert und signiert und enthält einen originalen Fotoabzug (ca. 9 × 9 cm), eingebettet in ein Passepartout aus 1,4 mm starkem Karton im Format 20 × 20 cm. Auch der Abzug ist auf der Rückseite vom Autor signiert.

A project by Massimo Fiorito

Massimo Fiorito created a photographic diary over the course of 400 days, from April 9, 2020 to May 14, 2021.

The conceptual core of this artistic work is based on 400 photographs, all connected to a green bench located along the Isar River on Wittelsbacherstraße in Munich. The framework of the project is strict and minimal: every day, for over a year, Fiorito passed the same point in the park and paused in front of the same bench.

Through this daily ritual, the artist created #anotherdayonearth – the book – die Bank – the bench – la panchina, a visual diary that reflects on the meaning of life and human existence. The project is not limited to imagery alone: the photographs are accompanied by texts — reflections, fragments of thought, and observations born during his walks along the river. In their immediacy and depth, these notes give the work an intimate and philosophical tone.

The recurring motif of the bench facing the slowly flowing river becomes a powerful symbol: the passage of time, the finiteness of existence, the longing for elsewhere. With the awareness that even the waters of the Isar will eventually flow into the Black Sea.

This photo book will be printed in a limited edition, determined solely by the number of copies pre-ordered by June 30, 2025.

The volume, consisting of 260 pages (including cover), will be printed in four-color process on 130g matte paper, in A4 format (21 × 29.7 cm). The hardcover will be slightly larger than the internal block, for a refined and durable finish.

Each copy will be numbered and signed by the author and will include an original photographic print (approx. 9 × 9 cm), mounted in a 1.4 mm thick cardboard passepartout, format 20 × 20 cm. The print will also be signed on the back by Massimo Fiorito.
